Fabulous Pro Bloggers
Chillin With Carrie
As I mentioned in a previous post Blogging Is Easy? I purchased Abby Lawson’s Building A Framework E-book and began creating my own blog. I realized I wanted to find more guidance on how to do the technical aspects of blogging design and according to Abby’s book I needed to find other fabulous bloggers in my niche or blogs that caught my eye. So as I branched out one of the first bloggers I discovered was Amy Lynn Andrews. Her style is a no nonsense direct to the point blog and she gives you tips and ideas to not only get your blog started but continuous information about the endless changes in the Blogging World and the internet in general. I first subscribed to her Useletter which is a weekly newsletter she sends out every Saturday. She scours the internet( I like that concept because I scour enough just trying to find the right wine to go with my cheeseburger) finding the latest articles on blogging, tools for your blog or computer, fonts, tips, and tricks and what is going on in her own blog.
After receiving the Useletter for a few months I decided to purchase her Knowtbook which is all of her notes for the past 10 years and more on blogging right at your own fingertips. She uses it on Workflowy which is an organizational tool that organizes the user’s notes in a very minimalist approach. Nothing fancy no pretty swirlies or flowers just straightforward information. You create a free account on Workflowy and you have access to Amy Lynn Andrew’s blogging notes right at your fingertips for only $24.00. What’s even more special about this handy tool it’s constantly updating in real time by Amy herself. ( Technology Kills Me) Amy also impressed me by responding to emails I had sent her these past few months which I greatly appreciate. I realize how busy the bigger bloggers can be and appreciate her taking the time to respond to my emails.
Another professional blogger I found was Marianne Manthey from Design your own Blog. Marianne is a web designer and blogger who has decided to help out female solopreuneurs and newbie bloggers with lots of free resources, guidance, and tutorials on how to help promote and enhance your blog design. Marianne’s blog will show you how to customize your headers, taglines, favicons and much more. She takes the scary out of design. Marianne also has a Facebook group for bloggers called Blog Beautiful where bloggers can ask questions, offer advice, and collaborate with one another. You can sign up for her newsletter and have access to lots of freebies and join her Facebook group. I highly recommend all three Bloggers: Abby Lawson, Amy Lynn Andrews, and Marianne Manthey. I believe each one has given me a well-rounded view of How to create, design and continually learn more and more about what it takes to achieve my Goal of becoming a Seasoned Blogger like them.
A Newbie Blogger
Another blogger I found while on the Facebook Group for Building A Framework was Stephanie from Aroma Mama, specifically her post, How I Successfully Launched my Blog in 30 Days. I read that post immediately and was very impressed with Stephanie and her goals and ambition to get her blog not only completed but launched. I subscribed to her blog and have enjoyed reading her tips not only on blogging but also on living a healthier lifestyle. She also has a Facebook Group for bloggers called Women Bloggers that Promote. This group is extremely helpful to the new blogger who is looking to promote their posts, freebies and e-books. A great nonjudgmental group to join. Stephanie has shown me, a newbie can finish this endeavor and discover a voice in the blogging universe. Please give Stephanie from Aroma Mama a try…
I hope these handy blogger resources about a few seasoned pros and one ambitious newbie will help you, my reader, find the tips, advice and design ideas for you in creating and achieving your Blog Ideal…
